Screendance
Home is my first investigation into urban space. While earlier works have been inspired by nature this piece was created via improvised dance and improvised filming at train tracks in Texas. Being the performer in this piece an emphasis was laid how the knowledge of being the director and camera person influences the way in which I performed, becoming a dancer who not only improvised on location but at the same becomes a thinking dancer who is aware of the choreography and camera simultaneously, and as such this is a further investigation into site specific improvised screendance making.
